Ummm...sounds like something al sharpton would say. That's a load of crap. What do you mean they don't have the power to? We're not talking about racism coming from the government, which is predominantly white in the US. We're talking about, for example, say black people are dining in a restaurant, and they have an issue with white people. They leave their white waitress a horrible tip just because they figure "oh well, her ancestors may have held ours as slaves, so i don't feel bad leaving her a bad tip". To say it's impossible for those who have been oppressed to be racist is laughable. Blacks can be just as racist and vile as whites.
Not sure what you mean. Elaborate?
This (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tongue-in-cheek)
As for what I meant- I am trying to illustrate how silly and unrealistic and inherently flawed "anti-discrimination" laws are. Lets say I do not hire a guy because he is black. That is my ONLY reason. HOW is that any different than not hiring a guy because he is not intelligent? He can't help his intelligence, it was passed on to him from his parents.
That being said, I think it is stupid and small to practice bigotry, but I think it is equally stupid to legislate against it. It is like trying to legislate against icebergs. It's going to happen. I don't even want to get into the issue of "proving" discrimination. What a mess.

My Mac Pro was having trouble finding my Mac OS X startup partition. I had to hold down the option key each time to select the startup disk. (I'm not using Boot Camp.)
Neither update showed up in Software Update, so I downloaded them both from Apple's website.
The EFI firmware update installed fine (on the second try), and now my computer boots up properly. So I can confirm that this update fixes problems that aren't related to Boot Camp.
The SMC firmware was already up-to-date on my Mac Pro (ordered last week).

If you want to outlaw racism, you may as well outlaw stupidity, loutishness, poor manners, alcoholism, and ill tempers.

I had to delete the Facebook app and reinstall for the push notification options to come up on my phone. Did try restarting the phone before that but made little difference.

Exactly! That's why the iMacs didn't get the Intel procssors until 7 months after the Mac Pros, right?Apple was in transition working from the bottom up to the pro models but now that the transition is complete I guess it will be back to the old way of doing things. I could be wrong and would love to see everything updated. You just never know with Apple because of the backroom deals they make with manufactors.

I wasn't very fond of the utility panels on Mac OS X until I discovered that most of them were the same across a number of applications. After that I kind of love them for their consistency.
And for the record, I hate the cluttered toolbars in Word.

"If you play with Billy down the street, we're not going to be your friends any more! Nah Nah."
Target and Walmart sound like they are run by bratty jealous kids. Besides, I can't see how movie downloads are going to threaten DVD sales anyway. HBO didn't stop VHS sales. Netflix hasn't stopped DVD sales. Cable on Demand hasn't stopped DVD sales either. People want to buy things. They want to own them. They want something to hold in their hand with pictures and a booklet. Sure people will download TV shows or some movies to watch on their iPods on a commute, but it's not going to kill the DVD market. The only thing likely to kill the DVD market is this bogus format war going on between Sony and Toshiba. Now noone is going to want to buy any HD format because they dont want their purchase to be obsolete next year.
On another note, how is this kind of corporate bullying legal? Doesn't the government actually try to enforce any antitrust laws any more? (rhetoric question)

Where have you installed OpenCV and wxWidgets? Are they frameworks or dylib libraries? Have you added the framework or dylib to the Link Binary with Libraries build phase of your target? If they're dylibs, have you additionally added the path(s) to the header files to the Header Search Paths build setting of your target?

4S. I like the name, and it makes sense to keep continuity with the previous naming scheme (3GS). I guess we'll see a true iPhone 5 next summer.

This is a very bad prescient. The universal binaries are there for a reason, Adobe is not a good Mac developer imo for this reason.
On the other hand, the design professionals won't upgrade to Intel Macs until all of their apps are ported. Once that happens there will be a lot more incentive to switch to Intel, and in the end it will be good for Apple to really solidify the base of Intel-Mac users. I guess this is ripping the band-aid off quick and clean, but it's really not fair to a lot of users.

The military and the Army has had a "dialogue" with Apple for years... pretty much every project involving a piece of field equipment has gone to another manufacturer because of durability concerns.
The U.S. Military has been using Apple Computers for years. I know for a fact they were crucial in the development of RFID tracking used in logistics. They were also more difficult to hack into and required less IT support to maintain them in the field.

You just made his point
Hmm, so if I choose a OS that is more intuitive to use, more easier to use, I am not tech savvy anymore?
If I had to use Android, i could. After three days of using Android, I pretty much know the ins and outs of that OS but I still find it more difficult to use than my iPhone.
Same could be applied to Windows vs Mac. Sure, I know how to use Windows enough to troubleshoot it and stuff but why use it when I can just use a Mac and have a much happier time using it since it's so user friendly/easier to use?
I don't want to purposely use what's overly complicated just to be called tech savvy thank you very much.

It would be nice if Apple focused on getting airplay to work well within their own devices. I'm tired of dropping music from itunes or my iphone to my AE. It pisses me off because I purchased the AE with the sole intent of using it for airplay.
