Surya's Maatraan shoot in Pakistan border

We are here to bring latest news of surya- KV Anand combo movie Maatraan.The duo's previous movie Ayan was supermegahit.

Maatraan shooting has to start by this time but was delayed as Suriya's other project 7am Arivu is still left with scenes to be shot. There are many rumors on who will be the heroine opposite Suriya but after considering a lot of Kollywood's latest damsels, the director has zeroed in on most happening and gorgeous Kajal Aggarwal for the female lead.


Maatraan is all set to start the shoot which is scheduled to take place on borders of Pakistan. KV Anand has retained the Ayan team for Maatraan also, as Harris is composing the tunes and Subha, for writing the script.

The tagline of the film is designed as 'Sometimes the end is just the beginning' which reveals that this to be yet another action-packed thriller. The movies posters which were released a few months ago were outstandingly brilliant. S.Soundar Rajan is wielded the camera while Editing and Art direction is by Antony and Rajeevan.

Searching for Surya's Maatran girl

Suriya is No.1 hero in Kollywood at the moment.He has just completed the shoot of his AR Murgadoss directed 7am Arivu, in which Sruthi Haasan is his heroine.Suriya will start work for his next film Maatran directed by KV Anand and produced by AGS. The shoot of the film will start by the first week of June.

Now the big question being asked is: "Who will be the lucky girl to be featured opposite Suriya?"

It is a million dollar question and a lot of heroines from all over the country have thrown in their hat.

Remember being Suriya's heroine you get a fantastic reach and fame. Ask Tamannaah who after being paired with Suriya in KV Anand's Ayan reached dizzy heights.Similarly Shruthi Haasan is all set to storm K'wood once 7am Arivu releases.

As of now as per the Kollywood grapevine, those who have been selected in the preliminary list are- Deepika Padukone, Kajal Agarwal, Taapsee and Samantha.Deepika has asked for a very high salary, and negotiations are going on.

However the heroine with a realistic chance of grabbing the role is Kajal Aggarwal, who has emerged as the front runner. The Maghadheera girl has a reach in Andhra where Suriya has an audience and will be a star in Bollywood after doing Hindi Singam with Ajay Devgan. The only thing going against her is her not so impressive progress card (hit movie) in Tamil cinema.

The others are also trying to get this coveted role opposite the hot and happening Suriya.

Suriya plays Siamese twin role in Maatran

Suriya has endeavoring with his earnest efforts through the challenging roles. And now, following the grand success of ‘Perazhagan’ and ‘Vaaranam Aayiram’, the actor is all set to perform dual role in his upcoming movie ‘Maatran’. Might be, this one may sound to be a normal factor, but is more off a difference. Guess what? Suriya plays the role of a Siamese twin, which means twins born with their body attached together. Well, K.V. Anand had mentioned that the film is based on the concept – ‘The End of Something is Beginning of Something’.

The filmmaker has already started working on the script and will start shooting for the film once Suriya completes his present project ‘Ezham Arivu’. As of now, the technicians confirmed for the project are music director Harris Jayaraj and Editor Anthony. The official announcements on the film’s crew will be made shortly.
