Surya’s role in '7aam Arivu'

It is known that Surya is busy shooting for Murugadoss’s latest forthcoming project ‘7am Arivu’ that has Shruthi Haasan pairing with Surya. Much hype has created among the film sources as the super hit ‘Ghajini’ combo are back with this film again. The shooting which has been progressing in Chennai from long time has been finished and the team is gearing up to fly to China to shoot some important sequences.

He will be playing a circus gymnast who will be with a circus troupe and trains and take care of wild animals. Raththa Charitram shooting completed


The unique director Ram Gopal Varma’s latest upcoming much waited controversial film ‘Raththa Charitram’ starring Vivek Oberoi, Surya, Priyamani in the main roles has completed its entire shooting part by yesterday with the shot of last scenes and only the post production work was left over.

Inside sources say that the director is much worried about the censor result for the movie. It is also said that RGV is planning to make both Telugu and Hindi versions in two parts while the Tamil version in single part. The reason behind this is as Surya will make his appearance only towards the end of the first part of the film and hence the Tamil Version will narrate the story from his point of view. The film is expected to release in the month of September.

The film story is based on the real concept of TDP leader Paritala Ravi which is being played by Vivek Oberoi in the film and Surya will be seen as Maddela Cheruvu Suri and Priyamani as his wife Gangula Bhanumathi.

Surya's Raktha Charitra release on September 17


Suriya's Raktha Charitra, being simultaneously made in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil, has already created records even before its release. The overseas rights of the Tamil versions titled Rattha Charitram, directed by Ram Gopal Varma, has been sold for a record Rs 4.5 crores (over US $1 million)!

With this, Suriya has joined the elite 'Million dollar club of Tamil superstars' which includes Rajinikanth ($2.5 million), Kamal Haasan ($1.5 million) and Vijay ($ 1 million). It is the highest-ever overseas price paid for a Suriya film.

The latest buzz is that the Hindi version (Raktha Charitra), which was scheduled to release in August, will now grace theatres on September 17. There are also reports that RGV is planning to make the Hindi version in two parts and Tamil version as a single film. Reason: Suriya’s role will begin only towards the end of the first part of the film and hence the Tamil version will narrate the story from his perspective.
